Teaching children and teens fundamental climbing techniques to fast track their development. The Rock Monkey program includes technique classes, practical application sessions, games and exciting activities designed to improve climbing and refine motor skills. The Rock Monkey Program follows a curriculum and each week new skills and techniques will be learnt and practiced.
Children may start in the Rock Monkey Program as early as 5 years of age. Children under 9 years of age are required to have a parent or guardian present during the sessions. All parents or guardians will be required to complete a waiver in order for their child to participate in the program: http://hotrockadventure.com.au/waiver/. Classes are divided up by age; 5 – 9 years, 10-13 years and 14 years & older.
Classes are held 6 times per week, offering the opportunity for your child to climb twice a week within the program.
Please arrive 10 minutes before class times to sign in and collect climbing shoes & harness
in order to be ready for the class to start on time.
Our Rock Monkeys are a part of the Hot Rock Adventure Centre community. The Rock Monkey Program is included in the cost of the membership to the centre. If your child is climbing twice a week on a 12 monthly membership it would cost approximately $13.00 a class – amazing value for the coaching they receive. Prices can be found in store or on our website http://hotrockadventure.com.au/pricing/ Please call Hot Rock Adventure Centre on 07 47251451 for any more information that you require – there are a number of different membership options available.
Places in the Rock Monkey Program are limited, as we want to provide the best child to coach ratio possible. If you are a current Rock Monkey you will automatically be re-enrolled into the next term but we do ask that you confirm and pay for your place 2 weeks prior to the commence of the next term. This will allow us to secure your place or offer it to the next child on the waiting list. Failure to confirm your child’s place will result in the place being given to another member.
